Bandhas / Inner Alignment...Bandha means something like a lock, a seal. In yoga we use bandhas, certain inner alignment principles, to seal and harness (life) energy inward. Contrary to what busy and technology-driven daily going abouts usually demands of us, where we spend lots of energy outward...
Bandha in that sense is an energetic alignment which brings about a certain physical form accessed from rooting down and up from the ground (not just the ground under your feet - but your very own 'ground') unlike passively floating down gravitational forces - a form that is supporting feeling alive and filled (compared to feeling depleted and empty)... altogether paving the way to a certain mental and emotional alignment, too. Feeling alive on different layers.... you get the idea, one hand washes the other.... Bandha wants / needs your attention. Altogether understanding / exploring how to access to work and source from within (vs. the search for outside validation) offers a path of more integrity, grace and strength inside and outside the mat. It also offers a whole new perspective of understanding on various layers of being. Bandhas! A core aspect of our yoga tradition and definitely worthwhile to study at least for one lifetime, at least!! :)) In this workshop...We will first explore a bandha toolbox (how, why, what?) - undermined by philosophical and energetic aspects, we then apply this toolbox weaving it like a red thread / core anchor throughout an adjusted primary series. What you learn by experience in this workshop will provide you with a lot of seeds for your practice soil in the days. weeks, months (years...) to come! Nice! This practice!
