I was introduced to yoga around 7 years ago in my home country of South Africa, where I got to experience the practice under the guidance of teachers from various yoga traditions. I have noticed the benefits of yoga on a personal level which fuels my motivation to keep on developing my practice. To this end I completed a 200hr Vinyasa Teachers Training course early in 2015. Shortly afterwards I moved to Groningen to begin a PhD in social psychology and it is here, at this school, that I begun a steady Ashtanga practice with Maxi. I continue to learn and grow as a student of yoga and my hope now to share some of what I have learnt.
